About Angela

Angela Doll is a poet, essayist, memoirist, and writer whose work has appeared in literary journals such as Apeiron Review, Thin Air Magazine, Eastern Iowa Review, Burnside Writer’s Collective, St. Katherine Review, Rock & Sling, Image Journal’s “Good Letters,” Ruminate Magazine, Tahoma Review, and Art House America.

She is the author of several books, including "Nearly Orthodox: On Being a Modern Woman in an Ancient Tradition," "Garden in the East: The Spiritual Life of the Body," and "The Wilderness Journal: 365 Days with the Philokalia." Angela’s writing explores the intersections of spirituality, embodiment, faith, and the complexities of modern life.

Based in Vancouver, BC, she spends each morning greeting the mountains on her morning walk and finding gratitude in the quotidian.
